Transfer of property

My father died last month without leaving a will.
During my childhood, my father's name was changed with my Uncle's name (for sake of taking admission in central school) and now all necessary documents bear name of my Uncle as my father.
Now what is the best procedure to get the property transferred in my name along with my younger brother and sister?

If I get that transferred in my mother's name and then get a will, would that be the right way to deal with?

Gift tax query

I want to gift 50percent of the revenue generated from the sale of a property that was on my deceased husband's name.
I have three children.
I want to give 50 percent to my brother in law who is my deceased husband's real brother and who also happens to be my deceased real sister's husband. What would be the tax implications on this. Will he be considered my blood relation from either of the two relation line that I have with him?

Agriculture land registration

Dear Sir/Madam,

With regard to the recent amendment for the Land reforms act in Karnataka saying non-agriculturists with income within 25L per year can register the land I have the below query.

Some of friends [non-agriculturists and income less than 25L] have shortlisted an agricultural land for making farm house and
grow vegetables etc. in the same land which is about 5-10 guntas for each of the friends. Earlier there was a limitation for buying the agricultural land (restricted for non-agriculturist and income more than 2L). So wanted to know the procedure for registration and document verification.

Also one of the person in our group owns agricultural land in his father's name in AP. So would it be considered for buying agriculture land in Karnataka as well?

Regards,
Jagadish

Daughter's rights in ancestral property

In the year 2005 hon. High Court awarded payment of arrears of rent of ancestral property. Hon.lower court while granting payment divided arrears among surviving children of father who died before 2005 . Now in the light of Hon. Supreme Court judgement in civil appeal no. 7217 of 2013 do daughters who were married before 2005 and still living with their husbands lose their share and return the arrears to their brothers ?

Maintenance for abandoned mother

1) My father has abandoned my mother in 2012. Since then we are living in the same house - my mother and me in the ground floor and he in the 1st floor. The house is his own.

2) Can maintenance be claimed retrospectively i.e since 2012 (OR) only from current date?

3) Though I am currently unemployed I am looking after my mother from the savings of my previous jobs. Does this capacity of mine to look after mother, absolve my father of giving maintenance to my mother?
