C-form

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 01 October 2011 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir,

I want to know that whether C-Form should be issued as per Invoice Date or Stock receiving Date.

C-Form can be issued on any date, but it should clearly mention the Invoice No. and date against which the purchase had been effected and also the dealer's name from whom the purchase had been effected.

Actually problem lies when the bill is issued on 31.3.2011 and the receiving date is some where 5.4.2011. In this case the receiving dealer ask for the C Form for the Quarter ending 31.3.2011 whereas the purchasing dealer booked the inovice on 6.4.2011 and want to issue the C Form in the Qtr ending 30.6.2011 for the period from 1.4.2011 to 30.6.2011 becouse he received the goods in next quarter. So the C Form requirement for the selling dealer is 31.3.2011 but the purchasing dealer books shows the trancation in the quarter enidng 30.6.2011. So, it is better the transcation may be booked as per the invoice and the C Form also to be issued as per the invoice.
