This query is : Resolved
I want to register a christian charitable trust under Bombay public trust act with the respective charity commissioner's office. The Title of the trust involves the term as "Ministry" can the Charity commissioner reject the registration of the trust for keeping the Ministry word in the title of the trust.

dear bro.
Please add prefix or suffix to Ministry.
On Name certain guidelines are given by Government.
Public should not be misled by Ministry name as it involves State Legislature or Parliament etc etc .

The advice of Dr. Vedula Gopinath is appropriate. Any name having relevance to: "The name of the Parliament or the Legislature of any State, or the Supreme Court, or the High Court of any State, or the Central Secretariat, or the Secretariat of any State Government or any other Government Office or the pictorial representation of any building occupied by any of the aforesaid institutions." is prohibited.

I dont think there should be a problem in granting approval for registration of the proposed Christian charitable trust with the suggested name. There are churches in the name of Ministry or Assembly of Gods Church, etc, in existence across the length and breadth of the country, so there should not be a problem to your proposal too.

Adding a suffix or prefix to the word 'Ministry' will be acceptable. This has been explained earlier by Dr. Vedula Gopinath. However, during the registration process, prima facie, the word 'Ministry' will be objected and the same would be forwarded to the concerned 'Department Ministry' for approval. This would take time. That would be the only issue.
