Can expert answer my question, please?
Vijay Raj Mahajan (Expert) 16 March 2018
In India as such there is no such thing as Pre-nuptial agreement or agreement for marriage and under any of the matrimonial laws including the Indian Christian Marriage Act for Christians in India, applicable to Indian marriages there is no specific provision in these laws with regard to such agreement or for its enforcement.
However from the point of view of simple agreement/contract between two parties for lawful consideration the enforcement of simple contract as applies to any other case this can be in such agreement/contract too. Moreover its the mutual understanding between both parties which is most important in the matter of marriage and matrimonial relationship.
