If FIR is not sent to the court then you can compromise and complaint has to be withdrawn by the complainant.

if the accused is arrested it means the FIr has been registered and sent to the court for information and the accused will be produced in the court and the court on bail can release the accused and the dispute will be compromised in the court if the value of the case property is less than 20,000 Rs, which is on later stage of the case and not on this stage. at this stage compromise is not possible

After amendments now no limit of stolen property for compromising under 320. But prior permission is to be rendered from the court concerned.

As the person has been arrested, he shall have to seek bail, after framing of charge, the complainant shall have to be hostile in his evidence otherwise in the given facts, there is no other short-cut to execute compromise.
