hello sir.. myself harshit gupta 22 years old..i wan to change my caste/surname from baniya/gupta to brahamin/joshi..is it pssible legally..please give me the full procedure to do it..thanks in advance

you can change your name but how can you change your caste . you are born a baniya how can you be a brahmin .

for change in name it has to be published in offical gazette

sworn affidavit and publish in the News Papers as to Change your Name, and the whole procedure take time more or less fifteen days, and cost include the cost of affidavit and the cost of notice about the change of your name in the news papers. CASTE CAN NOT CHANGE. ..................consult Advocate in your Locality for better understanding.

No change n caste is legally possible in India.
