change of birth date in passport.

my son's actual birth date is 19th jan,1990. And so is the same birth date in his passport which has now expired. But his high school mark sheet and all further education related documents state his birth date as 19th jan,1991 (difference of a year).
And i need a new passport for my son with the DOB as 19th jan,1991 which is in accordance with his educational documents. Could u please guide me through the procedure required for this change.

Make a representation to the passport authorities on the basis of the date of birth in education certificates.See the link for procedures.
