Sir,
i am a father of 8 years daughter and now i want to change her name in the school. how can i change her name. is there any legal boundation or simply giving an affidavit will serve the object.

Agree with learned experts. Preparation of affidavit and publication of change in the newspaper would be enough.

The change of name is to be published in the State Gazette also by making an application to the Govt Press at the concerned state.
