IN TENTH CERTIFICATE,MY NAME IS LISTED AS K KARTHIK.WHILE APPLYING FOR PASSPORT ,I CAME TO KNOW SURNAME IS REQUIRED.WHAT SHOULD I DO?
I FINISHED TENTH IN 2009.

You can submit supporting evidence like Transfer Certificate wherein both date of birth and surname appears. Otherwise you can submit an affidavit stating that surname is initialled in the SSC certificate with your full surname.

You can submit an affidavit duly attested by an executive magistrate about your sirname and that can be submitted with the application.
