Dear Experts, I want to change my Surname after marriage in my Passport. They are asking for "Gazette notification Changing Name in Applicants Department"
Kindly advise how this can be done?
Also advise on formal Process for change in surname after marriage.

As far as service record is concerned, a female govt employee is changing surname on marriage/divorce can do so on declaration on plain paper.

Get the marriage registered.
Can submit affidavit as per Annexure D for change of surname along with copy of passport of first and last page of the passport of Husband.
Go through FAQ from Passport office site in the matter.

the querist asked

Mr RK Goyal replied
"Can submit affidavit as per Annexure D for change of surname along with copy of passport of first and last page of the passport of Husband."
So his views were more near to the query then even mine. I replied only for change of name in service record of married employee.

My Dear Legal Experts.
I request you not to indulge into unnecessary arguments. Pls understand, the query is not as simple as it looks. I am a Employee of Punjab Govt and I want to change my Surname in my passport (Which is due to Renewal). I have gone through needful documentation mentioned on Passport seva website. Except relevant address and id proofs along with annexures, it requires change of Surname in my department through Gazette notification First. So here comes 2 imp queries
How this needs to be done in Service records for a Punjab Govt Employee (School Teacher)?
If actually any Gazette notification is required, if yes where and how at State level
I have gone through procedure for National Gazette (Department of Publications)

Dear Concerned
Seek information with respect to Lease / Rent Act of Noida, UP
My Brother owns a Flat in Sec 76 Noida, He has shifted to Australia in Dec 2016. His Flat was on rent and has got vacated recently.
Can I enter into Fresh Lease/Rent agreement with a Party on his behalf ?
If yes, Kindly let me know how this agreement needs to be written?
If yes, Would it be legally valid in case of any future dispute with tenant?

Get A Power Of Attorney Executed by your brother in your favour.He could execute the Same there it self and get it Attested by the Indian Embassy there and Send it to you.Basing on that you could Legally Act on his behalf.

Getting A Power of Attorney Executed in Abroad is Not Going to be Expensive Or Your Self Could get it drafted in India and send it to your brother and get it Signed and attested at Indian Embassy there.Only that Could be Legally Valid.
