Cheque bounce now notice

i gave money to my friend about 2 lac he gave me cheque of 2 lac rupees .
now he is disapper from the city i gave him notice but his father said he is out of town and dont know when will he back....not taking the notice in hand and write out of station on the registered post..
what will i do to get back my money because i dont know where my friend lives with his family
kindly help me i'm in great tension

after reading yr prob i assumed u sent notice within 30 days after dishouner of cheque. Now u wait for 15 days and thereafter file a complaint u/s 138 of N I act. After filing complaint court will issue smmons then also he doesnt come before court. Court will issue warrent and thereafter arrest warrent. So the accused will not hide for long time. One day he will come to you and will settle d matter. And u will get yr money or he will have to face the trail. So go and approach a criminal lawyer, he will do d rest. Dishouner of cheque is an offence u/s 138 of n i act and d punishment is 2 years and compensation is double d amount of cheque.
