Child's education

Hello,

I have a query and could you please clear it for me or advice me accordingly.

Me and my wife have applied for Mutual Consent Divorce and the next hearing is on Aug middle.

Now my wife demands, that I need to write her and give that, I am responsible for the child's "Education" part and if I agree to that only, she says, she'll sign the divorce paper. My Child's current age is 5. There are no other compensations requests.

What should I do now?

Please advice.

as father you are responsible to pay for your child education . your wife is not demanding any money for herself only for child . sign the consent terms

Child education and maintenance is your responsibility.

It is your duty to maintain your child and its education and to bear the education expenses. However, if your wife is employed and having sufficient income, she may have to bear the expenses to some extent. Discuss the issues and settle the things amicably without making a fuss over such trivial issues.
