I am a secretary of a co-operative Housing Society. One of our member who had purchased a flat in the society and had given society charges and transfer fees. However, he is not submitting the original documents for transfer. We have requested him many times, without any response. Can anyone suggest what action we can take against him.

Give the intimation to the new occupier of the room in writing. If he refuses to comply with, then you can refuse to effect the ransfer. If still he persist, your can report to the to Registrar of Co-op. Society.

First of all, you may refer to your society's by-laws for actions, if any, provided for therein in such situations. Lest, you may call upon the purchaser to produce the documents failing which issue be taken up with the Registrar.
