I am a member of co-operative housing society. In 2010 the election was conducted for housing committee. The term was from Jan 2010 to Jan 2013. It is Dec-12 but still no election programme is declared. The same committe is going continue. It is legal, if not what can be done?
I have 3 questions.
1. But even after complaning the same members can again contest the election and win, right?
2. We have not paid property tax to BMC, and now our society is applied for deemed conveyence. It is legal?
3. We get conveyence, we have some tentant leaving in the same building. Can they also
become member of our soceity. Currently they are tentant with trust who the landowner.
Please advice.

Janhavi

1) send a letter to Secretary /chairman of society asking them to hold fresh elections as term of managing committee has expired .send cpy of letter to registrar for information .
2) you need support of majority of members to win election to MC
3) property taxes have to be paid on time faing which society property can be attached by the corporation

Our Trust is the landlord of the land. Some people refused to become members of the soceity 15 years back at the time of re-developement hence they are still tenants. My question is can society permit them to become member of soceity without NOC for the Trust?
