This query is : Resolved
I have been asking for the following information for my society from December 2011
1. copy of bye-laws
2. new resolutions
3. list of office bearers
4. amount due against members
After 8 months they have today by registered post in following matter
1. copy of bye-laws - they say that while getting admitted to the membership , you have said on oath that you have gone through the bye-laws. it shows that you are knowing and having bye-laws. Thus to provide it again in not required.
2. new resolutions - they say that provide details and then it will be considered.
3. list of office bearers - fixed an appointment after 30 days and then you can have a look
4. amount due against members - it wont be provided
now my question is are they right in replying in this manner?
Is there any remedy for the same?
Regards,
Janhavi

It would be more appropriate if you are specific in your querry. Request for the bye-laws stating that you have misplaced it. For resolutions you can state that you want the rsolutions passed by the society in the years 2011 & 2012' For the list of office bearers be specific to state - The Present Office Bearers. The society is duty bound to provide oustanding dues against each member and you can specify the date stating - As On 31'03'2012.
