DEAR SIR ,
MY SON RESIDES IN USA , FROM LAST 14 YEARS . HE HAS CONSTRUCTED A BUNGALOW ON FREE HOLD PLOT . LATER CO OPERATIVE HSNG. SOCIETY IS BEING REGD. , WHERE HE HAS MEMBERSHIP. I HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY SIGN BY MY SON , ENDORSE BY AMERICAN LAWYER , AS WELL JDR ( REVENUE ) PUNE . NOW THE SOCIETY CHAIRMAN / COMMITTEE MEMBERS STATE THAT , I CAN NOT ATTEND AGM / SPECIAL AGM , AS PER BYE LAW NO. 105 . WHEN I CAN DO ALL OTHER GOVT. DOCUMENTS WITH THIS POW , IT IS NOT SPECIFIC JUST TO ATTEND AGM , CAN THEY RESTRICT MY PRESENCE , I REALLY WONDER . PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE .

society is absolutely correct power of attorney holder cannot attend AGM/SGM

You have to tale permission from registrar if you wish to attend the meeting on the basis of POA.

let your son make an application to the society for adding you as an associate member . then you can attned AGM
