Co-operative society matter

(Querist) 19 January 2013 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,
Please can you explain in detail on the term ONE MEMBER ONE VOTE in a registered co-operative society because in the recent election of our industrial estate of 173 units some members who occupy more than one gala i.e. they occupy 3 , 5, 10 & 13 galas have voted as many time as they have the galas. When objected they said we should have objected to this within 60 days from the list put on the notice board of eligible members. The galas which i am referring to are in pvt. ltd & Ltd companies name and have directors. We had bought in the notice of the election officer appointed by the temporary committee prior to the election that as per the act ONE MEMBER ONE VOTE still he allowed them to vote according to the nos of galas held by them.
Hence request you to kindly explain in detail

one member is entitled to one vote only . if a member has more than one gal in his name and cooperative society has been formed for the premises the member cannot have more than one vote .

if election officer failed to take action complaint to registrar coopeartive societies

Voting list is final and cannot be questioned at this stage even then make complaint in writing to registrar complaining thereon that the list was made fradulatly which did consist illegal way to vote more than one time to a particular voter.

I am sorry for repetition of question. Sir we consulted an expert and he suggested that any complain regarding election we will have to approach the co-operative court.

if no action is take by Registrar on your complaint you have to move coopeartive court
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 22 January 2013
The option of cooperative court can be resorted only if registrar do not provide the desired relief.
