My brother and his wife is living seperated since past 6 months and they have daughter together. Here is my dilema, my brother living at place which I bought 10 year ago in mumbai, it's on my name and i bought it with my hard earn money, before my sister in law left the house she didnt't took her stuff with her. Now, I'm planning to sale the house , i requested her to pick up her stuff with no reply from her side. Last week saturday she filed FIR regarding her stuff in police station. My brother had to go to police station and police people explain both (my brother and sister in law) their marriage is love marriage , and live peaceful. My questions how do i return my sister in law stuff to her and proceed with my flat sale
Thank you Ajay and Devan. I dont want to involve myself in their matter. Can I ask my brother to deposit the stuff at police station ?? if yes, what he need to tell them ?? if no can you please guide

You can deposit the articles to the Police station if it so agrees and if the sister in law does not take her articles even after your repeated requests.
You can also pack the articles and send her across after intimating this fact to the local police.

make a detailed list of items belonging to your sister in law . inform her in writing to please collect the same within period of 15 days from date of receipt of notice . if she fails to collect send it to her place .

Thank you Ajay and Devjyoti. I dont want to involve myself in their matter. Can I ask my brother to deposit the stuff at police station ?? if yes, what he need to tell them ?? if no can you please guide

He said police asked him to sign some paper, which was written in marathi language. He didn't sign any paper since he didnt understand the language, Then police person asked them to keep peace in their relationship and told them to go home. This incident happend last saturday, till then we haven't heard from police or sister in law.

If you have sent the valid notice for removal of the things with certain specific time. You are free to deal with the property in any manner you deem fit.
Make sure that your brother is also party to the said notice so that onus shifts to him.
