Compromise in criminal case.

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 05 June 2016 This query is : Resolved
A person had convicted us 306 of IPC. and sentenced jail for 7 years. An appeal was filed in high court against such conviction and the same is still pending for disposal. My question is whether it is possible to get early disposal of the appeal if a compromise proposal is filed by the complainants at this stage. The accused had already passed 3 years in jail out of total sentence period of 7 years.

The compromise proposal may sometimes draw adverse inference hence it has to be moved carefully.
