Adverse Possession Against Government Land

Does a person have right of adverse possession on Government Land, including reserve forest land? In this case the claimant has been in active possession for 80-90 years. Please suggest case laws.

I think it applies against the Govt also and the time limit is 15 years. Please go through the chapter of Prescription in the Limitations Act.

I regret that my opinion is incorrect. A person in continuous,open and uninterrupted and hostile possession for 30 years in government property is entitiled to claim adverse possession under Art 65 of Limitation Act.

Dear Mr. Subramaniam,
You are right it is 30 years to claim adverse possession against government, but the Article applicable would be 112 and not 65.
