i appeared for the post of lecturer advertised by society under the rajasthan govt ,i got selected by the society under raj govt for post of lect. in may 2008 and my name was in panel of selected candidates ,but i am still waiting for posting.pls let me know what is the validity period of such panel.is there any supreme court guidelines in this regard ?

You should minutely study the advertisement in this regard. As per SC, the list of selection in such cases is generally maintained for a year. legally a selected person has no legal right to be appointed on the post. No legal action can be taken in the given circumstances against the society.

i agree with Mr. Makkad on this point, u must ve a minute look at the terms and conditions or rules and regulations mentioned in the advertisement for this purpose.
