Installation of cctv in co op society

(Querist) 21 December 2015 This query is : Resolved
Sir
Can we utilise society fund for cctv installation and under which co operative law.
Guest (Expert) 21 December 2015
CCTV installation where? Not in your home. But you sure can install required number of cameras linked to recording system in campus/premises of your housing society. But you have to get proposal cleared either by general body meeting or meeting of executive committee as per your bye laws and project cost.

CCTV installation is an installation in the course of administrative activity and to ensure safety and security to the society members and public at large.

As per your budget and other internal procedure, pass one resolution in the executive committee and go ahead.

Can any member of the Society compromise with SECURITY?
It is one of the security requirements in the society premises for which the MC is competant to install. Nothing wrong.

It is coming under the administrative expenses, it can very well go ahead based on the necessity to do so.
