This query is : Resolved
hello sir
I am working as a teacher in kendriya vidyalaya sangthan,i joined sangathan in 2008. from April 2017 to 31st march 2018 i m on extra ordinary leave without pay which is sanctioned by our region deputy commissioner. Due to some unavoidable circumstances i am unable to join in April 2018 .So, i requested for leave extension for one year more but till date i have not receive any response .
My query is what if, the leave has not sanctioned and i still avail the leave. What are the consequence if i join in April 2019 without sanctioning my leave.

Without due approval and sanction of leave by the competent authority will be termed as unauthorised absence leading to disciplinary action under major penalty. The result can be removal from service also.
So, better get the leave officially extended to avoid any disciplinary action.

Request in writing under proper acknowledgment.
If you have requested submit request reminding leave application under proper acknowledgment.
Avoid any misconduct due to un-intimated/un approved leave..

Requesting in writing ?
It appears he has already done so.
Proper acknowledgment.
Proper acknowledgement is of no use unless leave is sanctioned.

Agree with the opinion of Mr. Sudhir Kumar on quite a vague post of Mr. Kumar Doab. Probably, Mr. Kumar Doab thinks as if proper acknowledgement of sending application can serve as the substitute of sanction of leave by the competent authority.

If the leave is not sanctioned, your action would amount to unauthorised absence. However, the Leave Sanctioning Authority is expected inform you of the refusal to sanction the leave, as applied.

Even if the authorities omit to give notice of unauthroised absence there is no provision to treat the leave sanctioned in default.

Well advised by experts, I agree.
Join duties if your leave is not sanctioned and communicated.
