My lady friend stay with her parents due to harassment from her husband, now he continuously called him and told him that if she's not willing to leave with him, he will be committed to suicide.. and before a day he try to injured him self in front of her parents, they all are scared..
Dear Experts, want to know what should she do ? is there any ground for divorce ?

Advise your Friend to file an Police Complaint in detail and to serve an legal notice and publish the legal notice in News Paper so that she could avoid unnecessary trouble if it really happens.

If the wife not willing to live with husband, she cannot be forced to do so. The Supreme Court recently held wife is not chattel that can be forcefully taken by husband.
The wife should tell the husband in clearly her intention not to live with him and call off the marriage by decree of divorce. Best course is to both workout divorce by mutual consent.

Thanks Vijay Sir, but her husband is very dangerous, just now she admitted complaint to police station for suicide threat..and her husband not ready for divorce..

If already police complaint lodged against him, she should remain at her parents house till the matter get settled down through Mediation and Conciliatory process that will make him agree for divorce by mutual consent.

AS MY FRIEND HAVE SUBMITTED CASE IN A COURT, BUT A ADVOCATE MENTIONED THAT IF THE HUSBAND WILL PROVIDE ORNAMENTS AND MONEY WHICH HE HAD TAKEN FROM HIS WIFE THAN WILL GO FOR RECONCILIATION AND MY FRIEND IS NOT READY FOR THE SAME BUT LAWYER TOLD THAT IS NECESSARY TO MENTIONED IN AFFIDAVIT IS IT TRUE ?
