Can government doctor work in charitable hospital?

(Querist) 05 September 2018 This query is : Resolved
Im a medical doctor in Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) hospital and receive NPA which prohoibits me from doing private practise. However can I legally work in a charitable hospital run by an NGO without charging any fee?

You will have to take permission of the competent authority of the CPSU concerned. If no fee is charged, I don't think any authority would object to your working with the NGO before and after your official clinic hours. However, if you get any fee from the NGO or the patients, you may be required to deposit prescribed percentage of fee with the CPSU, if permission granted.
