I was conned by a girl & her mother under false marriage promises. I have lost my financial standing as wells as my emotional connection with my family. The girl was sleeping with other men for money, keeping me under the impression of love & marriage. Now they have a lot of things that belong to me and they have blocked me everywhere. What can i do?

Lodge criminal complaint against them with Police for cheating and misappropriation of your property etc. under section 406, 420 IPC.

Better go home take a cup of milk and sleep. You are not getting anything except few counter allegations and some may be non-bailable as well.

I agree with the advise given by Mr. Mahajan. Let the Police investigate and take action against the guilty. If they make counter allegations against you, you should contest them. You should not leave such culprits..

If the police fail to take action, file private complaint in the magistrate court for cheating and misappropriation.

first he should see the latest amendments in IPC regarding crime against woman and only then he should venture any action against that girl.

Expert M V Gupta! There are no special amendments in the IPC barring the victim to initiate the criminal action against the accused girl rather there are many instances before the police which do establish that nowadays such type of scandals in the hands of girls are frequently going on in the society wherein frauds are played by girls against innocent persons. There is no discrimination of gender in the eyes of Law.

It is equally correct that still the law enforcing agencies mainly police authorities have same mentality of thinking and accordingly man is held guilty instead of woman in such matters which is a major hurdle and I think some experts have replied accordingly.

Of Course, the author shall have to cross a long way to get the accused punished as per law and he shall have to suffer a lot of harassment meanwhile in the hands of the said girl who shall definitely level allegations of lowest standard and her mother shall be her strong witness. It is upto the author now to decide which way to go.

Legal cases require a lot of time, money and attention. Financially you have been ruined already, may prefer to start new life and leave them to be punished by the time to come.
