Namaste sir
I purchased one 1200 sqft vacant residential plot in 2004 from the developer and got registered in my name and also obtained documents like mother deed / conversion certificate / Encumbarence certificate. But i did not received family tree of original landlords due to lack of exposure in those times. Now when i stepped forward to sell the plot, the buyer is asking for family tree of original landlords who registered land to my developer. Since iam not blood relative of landlords and not seen them atleast once. So in this connection can i apply for Family tree related to landlords as a part of legal verification

Put a question on the buyer for requirement of family tree of developer, which is otherwise, not necessary under the circumstances.

You can ask the Seller. I note since 2004 you are in full enjoyment without any encumbrance. Hence may be not mandatory to seek now unless there are encumbrances or litigation. Local lawyer can help you out.

Whether family tree of original landlord refer to ancestors’ names / relation / record of the person, if so, seems not required. If it is in reference to copies of revenue record of 30 years, take help of revenue office (Tehsildar office) / village Patwari.

Agreed with the above-learned experts. Obtain EC on your property for about 30 years (if necessary for other 20 years also) from the SRO concerned. From EC it may be known the previous owners of the land.
