Coparcener self earned asset

(Querist) 02 January 2013 This query is : Resolved
My father he is retired govt employee and distributed his self earned property among we two brothers and two sisters through gift deed to each we 4 person separately which registered at subregister office at the date Jan 2012. And gave full powers to donees. He not had any ansestrol property. And my mother had ansestrol property & she distributed equal share to all we four childrens. For this the document is created vatni patra which is not registered & just gave village accountant of revenue dept and he done mutation. And we all are married. And my question is that I am unemployed and no income but my all three (1Brother and 2 sisters are software engineers) brother and sisters had their own (self earned property)But they are not ready to care about our old age parents. so can I claim on their (1 Broth & 2 sis)self earned property?
I heard according to HUF rules self earned property of each person considered joint family asset and it will be divided among all members.

You have no such right to do so.
At best, your parents can seek maintenance from their children, in their old age, especially when they had distributed their hard earned assets amongst their children.

You have not mentioned how those properties stand distributed means which document has been prepared and whether that document has been recorded in the relevant record and each person individually has been shown as its exclusive owner or still the ownership vests in your father and only possessions have been handed over against separate properties to all 4 of you.

This information is very vital to excactly reply your query, however, your parents have full rights to claim for their maintenance against their children apart from the right to property.
