I endorse the opinion and advise of expert Mr. N J S Rajkumar. If both of you want to retain and profess your religion, get the marriage registered with Registrar of Marriages under the provisions of Special Marriage Act, 1954

In order to solemnize your marriage in your case, one of you should give one month's notice to the marriage officer of the district where he or she resides.
After one month the marriage officer will solemnize your marriage at his office or a place you suggest, if no objection is received and the marriage is sustainable as per law.

When your marriage is acceptable in Legal terms and requirements then no body's objection would be Legally Considered.
