This section stands for caveat proceedings. If you filed caveat petition before the court mean, without notice to you, the court will not allow any stay or interim orders against you in the subject matter for next 3 months.

it is a caveat petition filed before the civil court high court, supreme court expected legal proceedings in which interim/urgent orders may be sought for will not be granted without notice to the caveator. it literarily means BEWARE. CAUTION.

Agree with Mr. Ganesan. However, it may be added that the validy of any caveat is limited to 90 days only.

it is no where mentioned in the section like the validity of 0 days but it is mentioned in 148A(5) that a caveat filed shall not remain in force after the expiry of 90 days from the date when it was lodged unless another application is filed before the expiry of the said period

Yes. The validity days for 90 days from the date of caveat filing. Its ok mr.sachdev. I hope senior mr.dhingra may be typed as 90 only. 9 may be missed.

Filing caveat has two sides. One if you file caveat under section 148A of CPC, hearing in the appeal should not take place unless you are informed and served with papers. Second, If you are served with a caveat by the person who filed/preferred caveat, you must serve the otherside with complete set of appeal paper. In fact, caveat the shield using which you can prevent ex-parte order in appeal stage.
The life time of a caveat is 90 days and it is extendable.
