Respected sir, am Mohammad arif ahmad from nellore. I was working as trainee engineer in Dubai during 2006 to 2008 Feb. Due to job problems, I left Dubai. I was so young and not mature enough. I had salaried account at emirates NBD. Am not remember today whether I was holding credit card or not. While I was leaving Dubai even salary account I did not have idea to close. After 5 years from Indian payment followers started harrasment daily 40- 50 calls. When I approached directly Dubai office, they said am having some outstanding 9000+ Dhs. When I strongly insisted they send one statement stating some 61Dhs amount. In my whole life I didn't kept single rupee debit bcoz next second not sure of life.
Before sending statement they took verbal acceptance for 500Dhs at least. Am on job search last 8 months. I requested I can arrange the same 61Dhs. They are threatening me pay 500dhs otherwise they will collect full amount legally. I humbly request you all help me how to handle these guyed.

it was time bared bet and they could not have sued you. you have stupidly acknowledged liability and limitation now stands revived.

Is the limitation law applicable to debts at foreign country? The author has clearly stated that he has been informed from Dubai about his outstanding credits there, how will the Indian law be binding on it?
