My wife and kid 9 years is staying separate from me for last 6 months in Kolkata. I stay at mumbai. Can I file divorce and custody from Mumbai?

if the child is ordinary residing in Mumbai then only you may file a child custody case in Mumbai otherwise not.

for ordinary residing the child if the child was taken away forcefully from Mumbai then you may file a child custody case in Mumbai, school documents and other evidence which may show the ordinary residence of child will be the best evidence in your favour.
