Date givine by sitting judge.

hello
respected experts, a sitting judge is giving dates since 1year and 6 months that against party wants time to arguments
does it lawful or according to rules, please give me suggistion

it is possible that said court wherein judge is presiding is over burdened with cases hence judge is giving dates to the litigants

One can always move to high court for direction on lower court for expeditious disposal of the case. The High Court at Calcutta routinely pass such order. i am not aware of view of other high courts on this issue.
