sir please help me in my D.O.B my mother name is printed as arifa...
but actaully my mother is fathima ..
please suggest me the proper way to change my mother name.....from arifa to fathima..
please guide me sir its very important for my passport..
please help me!!!!!!!!!

1. You have to file a case, seeking appropriate direction;

2. Produce the documentary proof to the court regarding the correct name of your mother.

No need for go to the court proceedings.. Just file an application for the rectification along with sufficient proof..

Contact the registrar of birth and deaths, now the formalities, complete the same and proceed.

It may not be possible to rectify the name of mother by the registrar of birth and death at this belated stage, alternately, you may make an affidavit to this effect stating that the error in the name was due to oversight and the actual name is ..... This may come handy in the event of passport verification at immigration in the airport.
