In fact there is no definition of a deadly weapon. But what Mr. Tribhuwan has said about the use of the brick is correct.

my friends r absolutely right...it depends upon the facts and circumstances of the case to find out how a particular instrument or thing has been used to kill a person....in some cases even a needle can be held to be deadly weapon.

yes, i do agree with my learned friends.
there is no specific express definition, of deadly weapon, in IPC.
the deadly weapon means and includes the thing or weapon which likely causes the death immediately or remotely, by force or blow of such weapon or thing whether knowingly or unknowingly uses.

Dear friends, I too agreed with aforesaid views and still some more from my side is that, we should not go liteally "deadly weapon" means always it is not necessary to be a real weapons, but any substance may use as a weapon for hitting the body may cover the meaning.
