Dear Sir, i have approached my local MRO for family member certificate for compassoinate appointment of my father job. i have submitted every all other documents of my family , and my fathers id card and service certificate as a proof that he is central govt employee along with death certificate. when i went to check the status at mro office, they are asking for a letter as a proof that i will use the certificate for appointment from my father department to issue family certificate, Now when i went back to my father office they have told me that they will not issue any such letter officially. please advice me what to do? as MRO is troubling me for the letter from central govt to issue the family certificate.

You file a civil writ of Mandamus in highcourt seeking directions to MRO to issue Family member certificate attaching your father's death certificate and legal heir certificate.as MRO is duty bound to issue such certificates.

Submit your written request to the department where your father was serving for issuance of a certificate qua details of family as recorded in his service records.
If the department is reluctant submit an application u/s 6 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
I do not subscribe to the false suggestion of an impersonating expert qua filing a writ for the purpose.

Both the authorities are trying to harass you without any valid reason. Your father's office would certainly have, in his personal file or service book, the details of family furnished by him and this would have been further reinforced by the application your mother would have made for grant of family pension, DCRG etc. Your application for compassionate appointment could be processed based on the information available on the records.
So also, issue of legal heir certificate is one among the routine functions of MRO (Tahsildar) Office. This certificate could be applied through e-Seva Kendras as well. You may try to meet the higher officers and try to sort out the issue.

I have pension payment order from my father department, and my family details in my father service book, and my family details in ration card, but still mro is asking me to get letter from my father office that I will use the family member certificate only for compassionate appointment. I would like to thank every one for your support, issue has been resolved , i have sent a written complaint to RDO office and a copy to MRO office through registered post and i have got a call from MRO office today for verification and after going through all my documents like.... Pension payment Order copy, fathers id card , ration card, fathers death certificate, service certificate. Today Mro had put the signature on the file and ordered to issue the family member certificate.
After going through all this painful struggle i want to conclude this as........ if you are going as per the process and details that you have furnished are correct and true no need to pay any bribe to officers,we should always escalate the issue to higher authority when ever there is delay, no need to submit extra or unnecessary documents if you have enough proof that you are a legal heir of your family.
THINK WISELY, WRITE TO THEM,QUESTION THEM , ESCALATE THE ISSUE TO NEXT LEVEL , because.......
