my father died at mumbai nanavati hospital in 1982 he was creminated at our village in thane district we dont have death certificate how can i get the certificate now will i get it from mumbai because when i approach the thasildar of our village he said that they dont have record of 1982
pls advice

for this you should to go in court and file suit after passing order of megistrate you will get death certi you should take help local lawyer for this

1, file a application for issuance of death certificate to the thasildar.
He will return the application with endorsement no such entry or record.
then contact a lawyer he will file an application for registration of death as per births and deaths registration act. get the death of your father proved by other evidences oral/documentary. After considering the court will issue direction to register the death to tahsildar and after you applying get a death certificate.
