Depends mostly on your own passion. But, for degree purpose you need to see the convenience of research on background literature/material/ cases for writing of your dissertation. While you can get sufficient researched material on trademark and copyright, you may probably feel difficulty in research on the topic of design.

However, I feel topic on trademark may be preferred to suit you, as a specialisation to be adopted later in your profession.
