Is it really require to change name in educational certifcates after changing name through affidavit

Dear Sir,
Sir ,After name change, Do I really need to change my name in all my certificates (SSC, Inter, Degree, MCA.....), because this is very tedious process and lengthy one.
or it is sufficient to change in few regular using documents like, PAN, BANKAccount,Passport Property documents with the help of 'Name change affidavit".
Will be there any implicaitons and complications if i have to travel onsite like USA, Uk or any countries part of my job. Will these documents are recognized as legal, withought changing my name in SSC, inter...certificates.
I have contacted one of the local lawyer, he advised me the change name in all certificates to avoid any problem in future. Does it really require to change in all certificates,
cant I attach 'Name change affidivat' certificate along with my previous certificate in future for any transaction. Cant governament recognize this as a formal one?

Point 1. The lawyer has ill advised, since there is no procedure to change the name in the educational certificates.
Point 2. It is unclear i the proper procedure is followed for change in name.
In case you wish to change your name, you have to follow a very simple procedure.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Go to the State Government Press in the Capital City of your state.
2. Ask them for the form for change of name and obtain it.
3. Fill up the form and submit it (preferably then and there).
4. Pay the requisite Fees in cash. (Rs. 120/- in Maharashtra for routine (6-8 weeks for publication) and Rs. 620/- for urgent (2-3 weeks)).
5. The Press would publish the details of the change of your name (or father's name, or surname as be your case) and post you two copies of the Government Gazette or ask you to collect the same. The press would also let you know when they would publish the same.
6. Thereafter wherever you wish to submit your change of Name / Father's Name / Surname Proof, you can submit true copies of the relevant pages of the Gazette.
Point 3. The copy of the Gazzette has to be notarised and produced along with other documents where ever & when ever submitted for any pupose.

Thank you Sir for adivce,it gave me a lot of clarity on the proecess.
i have not yet changed my name. will follow the standard procedure mentioned by you as above.
So it is confirm that no need to change name on educational certificates after name change hence it is sufficient to attach govt of AP affidavit where ever required.
Will be any VISA problems if i have to traval onsite like USA, UK..becoz i am into software profession. Becoz my old ceritifcates and exp certiifcates will be with my old name....
i have property on my old name with home loan...do i need to change that property documents with my new name and if yes, is there any procedure to change name on property documents..
i am asking this because, one of local lawyers told me change in all education certificates from the begining...so i dropped that thought...if it not required then i want to go for name change.

Ans. No, attach a true copy of the gazette with the visa application it will suffice.

Not required, the same procedure as explained above is sufficient.

There will be no problem in the VISA either, since your pass port would indicate at page the previous name or any other name by which you are identified.You need not have to change your name in your school,degree certificates. Mr.Vishal has provided you excellent advice, quite typical of an expert.. P. do follow it strictly. That will be the proper guide.
