This query is : Resolved
Can the plaintiff file additional documents after the issues have been framed. I am unable to find a judgement which lays down the law to this effect. Only adhoc judgments based on facts have been passed.
I would appreciate if anyone can name a judgment which lays down as law that additional documents cannot be filed after the stage of framing of issues.

There is no such law which prohibits to submit additional documents. Additional documents even may be filed after conclusion of argument and before pronouncement of judgment.

Submit an application to the Court for submission of additional documents as advised by expert Sh. Raj Kumar Makkad..
However, have faith in your lawyer and proceed as guided by him/her but it is absurd and ridiculous to repeat same query, which has already been replied by the experts.

Thank You everyone for their comments and suggestions. Also the link provided above is of the same page. Hence it is not a duplicate query. Also i found a judgement which says that the document which is the basis of your claim shall mandatory be filed with the plaint and not later. Documents which are not the claim but only supporting in nature can be filed after the leave of the court. But the document on which you claim a relief has to be filed with the plaint and not later.
