Aadhaar Card outsider Got Made at Our Address

(Querist) 01 August 2017 This query is : Resolved
SOME ONE GOT HIS AADHAAR MADE AT OUR ADDRESS:
A dhobi, right in front of my brothers home, was given only the house gate key to facilitate electric meter reader to read the meter as house was locked for almost 10 years with our selves visiting five or six times a year... now we have taken the key back from him as we are renting it out.
We learnt that subject Dhobi got the Aadhaar Card for himself as well his family made at our address while he has his own home in village nearby.
Please let us know the implications and our line of action. How can we approach the Aadhaar authorities to submit our problem?

While even a tenant could take such government identification what is wrong or illegal in your take carer of your premises and his family taking such identifications.Instead of naming him with his profession you could address him as the 'Care taker' of your premises. If you are so particular you could advise him or request him to change the address of such documents to his present address.Such documents would have been issued only after proper verification of the concerned authorities only.

Traditionally the 'dhobi' are washermen. The name dhobi derived from hindi 'Dhona' ( to wash)..India's independence brought about a new constitution that lifted this age-old stigma impurity.

Having your address on his Adhar card, does not mean he is the owner of the property. Secondly file a complaint with Adhar authority, as to the issuance and authentication of such Adhar card without the proof of address. If the said Dhobi had filed any fake documents to get Adhar, the file a Police complaint against him.

Respected "Dhobi " community in Bihar is in the status of Schedule Caste.Atleast here the Learned Counsels should avoid addressing any one basing on their caste and community.

Ask him to get the address changed.

You can lodge / register / send non cognizable information to local police station.

1. Inform authorities concerned qua wrong information provided for getting Aadhar Card.
2. Lodge Police complaint/FIR for committing forgery and criminal breach of trust.
3. File a suit for permanent and mandatory injunction before civil court to cancel the aadhar card impleading authority concerned or file a writ of mandamus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India before High Court to issue necessary mandamus to concerned authority.
4. Contact, consult and engage a local prudent lawyer for proper guidance and proceeding.
