For filing for Divorce or to claim Maintenance the concerned party could convince the concerned court with valid evidence like marriage photos and invitation etc to register the case.

If the couple are co operative the Mutual Consent Divorce would be the best option other wise only the Divorce Suit could fetch the Legal Remedy

Even though the Marriage is not Legally Registered it would be legally valid with the evidences like marriage photos and invitation etc

The Indian Christian Marriage Act,1872 provides that one of the party should be Christian for marriage under this Act.
A Hindu and Christian can marry in Church and their marriage will be Valid under this Act.
For dissolution of the Christian marriage the petition for divorce has to be filled under the Divorce Act, 1869.
The Christian marriages are recorded and registered under the Act and are valid even if these are not registered according to local State marriage registration laws.
Yes divorce by mutual consent is available under section 10A of the Divorce Act otherwise there are numerous other grounds for divorce under section 10 of the Divorce Act.

Hindu and Christian got married I'm church.
Madras high court judgement states that it not valid if either of them doesn't convert.
Couple do not live together but in touch.
Now they don't want to be with each other.
The marriage would be valid as the same is neither solemnized under special marriage act nor register in court ?
