Hi, I live in Delhi (Hindu family).
My grandparent passed away recently. She had the will transferred to her name after the death of my grandfather few years earlier.
Kindly let me know on how to proceed with the succession of the will. What all steps are needed to be taken in order to transfer the property (as mentioned in the will) to my parents and my uncles?

You have queried my grandparent passe recently, she had the will transferred to her name after death of your grandfather. Once your grandfather executed a will, how can she transfer the will in her name? your query requires clarity. the contents of the Will shall be verified. so please consult a local advocate having in succession act and property matters.

No need to get the Will probated in the name of your grand-mother (in Delhi), get the property mutated with MCD, if the property is a house, if it is agriculture land it shall be mutated by concerned Tehsildar.
Consult a local prudent lawyer with the document of Will for proper guidance and proceeding.

The Will has to be probated from the civil court and after probation the letter of administration will be issued by the court that will help the beneficiaries to get the mutation of the property done in their name with Municipality. They can sell the property to anyone with the letter of administration, death certificate, original deed of the property etc. All these will be required for sale purpose in the tehsil office.
