Want to sale the plot which is registered in my demisedwife

I want to sale my plot which i bought and registered in name of my wife. But she expired recently. Now i want to sale the plot. So what is the process for that. Should i need to transfer in my name first and then able to sold. Do i need to re-register to my name . What is the whole process.

Apply for the Legal Heir Certificate . Mostly it would suffice and Confirm with your buyers,

Yes, you have to obtain heirship certificate then legal heirs can easily sale plot

Who are the legal heirs to your late wife? The property is jointly vested with them.

Obtain a legal heir certificate from the Tahsildar concerned. Yourself and your children are the legal heirs of your wife. so yourself and your children shall execute the sale deed. If they are minors you can sign on behalf of the minors.

I agree with experts, you will have to obtain Surviving Members Certificate from area Tehsildar/ SDM for transfer of property left by deceased.
