Developer does not want to give me rent

Sir
unfortunately my mom passed away on 19th of January,i was staying with my mom together with my family in a chawl,the room was in my mothers name,this chawl is under SRA development,the developer is giving yearly rent to all the tenants.now when my turn comes he said that I will not give you rent,do you have any will made by your mother or have she nominated you.
she has signed all document regarding nomination and she did not get any copy of any document,the developer don't want to show me any document signed by my mother please advice

on your mother death you and your siblings would be legal heirs . you need to obtain letters of administration from high court in respect of your mother property .
if your mother had made nomination copy owuld be with society if any formed by residents

The developer seems to be in no mood to recognize you as nominee or owner presently or in future. consult a local lawyer and send notice. Get Power of attorney from all the legal heirs in your favor.

All the documents are with Developer,now the society belongs to developer,there are no meetings happening,no discussion,if i ask any member of the society they guide me to the developer

nomination forms are always in triplicate . original is with society and duplicate with member . in your case your mother must be having copy in her records . you can always call upon society to furnish you copy of nomination form made by your mother .
