Sir,
In Indian law, can a father disown his son for his ill behaviour towards father.

Disowning has only social impact, it has no legal consequences.
Ramkrishna (Querist) 12 November 2013
Can that son has a claim on ancestral property.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 12 November 2013
Not during the life time of father
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 12 November 2013
If it is ancestral property then yes he can.

ANCESTRAL PROPERTY RIGHT OF SON REMAINS INTACT IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.
malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 12 November 2013
The son has got right in the ancestral property in all circumstances irrespective of owning or disowning. He can ask for partition of the property also. But he can not claim his right on self-acquired property of the father during his life time.
By the way what made the father to disown his own son? When son is aspiring for the property which has to pass through his father, it is his legitimate and moral duty to see his father is comfortable with his behaviour. Son should rectify the deficiencies if any.
