When a size of plot 40*40 was sold to you by him(who was owner)by a registered deed, where does arise a question of division and with whom?
So my answer is that NO!Division of plot registered exclusively in your name was required that too without your knowledge.

The seller has no relation with the sold property as of now and he cannot be permitted to intervene in your purchased property so if he creates any hindrance, obtain an injunction order against him from civil court.
