I was married in A COURT MARRIAGE IN BANDRA MUMBAI (2014), MY EX WIFE IS A FINISH CITIZEN (Finland -Europe), we have obtained a DIVORCE DECREE IN THE FINNISH COURTS.

HOW DO I GET A DIVORCEE DECREE IN MUMBAI?

I HAVE A COPY OF THE FINNISH DIVORCE DECREE.
& SHE IS NOT ABLE TO VISIT INDIA.

PLEASE HELP.

Divorce case to be filed in mumbai.
Exparte decision will be given if she not attain the court.

If the divorce was decreed in USA on grounds recognized by HMA,then it might be valid in India.

Ajudgment delivered by a foreign court of competent jurisdiction can be enforced by an Indian court.

You may show all docs on record to a very able counsel for a considered opinion.

You are silent as to whether the decree so far obtained was mutual or not.
If it was mutual divorce then the same is binding in Indian court.
Moreover since your wife is Finish and Finish court appears to have granted the divorce,then there is no requirement to apply for divorce in India.

Recognition of Finnish divorce decree by Indian courts is subject to verification and approval of Indian Embassy in Finland. You may get that done.

Why you want divorce decree from India when you have decree from Finish court.

Submit reply to the relevant questions raised by experts for appreciation of facts of the case, especially why do you need another divorce decree in Mumbai, otherwise consult a local prudent lawyer.
