Domestic violence case

Guest (Querist) 05 January 2024 This query is : Resolved
My mom has been married to my father for 25 years. In the past few years she is being abused both mentally and physically. My mom is a homemaker and she has no financial support. We only have voice recordings , no video proof of violence. What can we do?

The DV case can be filed based on the grievances expressed by the affected victim in the form of a complaint.
The incidents taken place within four walls cannot be expected to be demonstrated by any evidence

Your parents' marriage was done 25 years ago, they are leading a family life to date. If your father has harassed your mother in recent times, settle this issue amicably with other elders of your family as I opine, after 25 years of marriage, not advisable to file a case against a husband by a wife. If the harassment is beyond limits, then may proceed to court.
