Hi Experts, Wife filed DV act against me. Now both decided to close the case. What is the best way? Withdrawal of case by wife or settlement or dismiss? Whats the difference for the above all? Please give your valuable answers.

Withdrawal is best option. DV case can not be compromised.

Thanks experts!! Wife side is adamant and asking for settlement instead of withdraw. but they want to close the case. What are all the consequences if i go with settlement?

file an application for mediation and get settlement before mediation and file the same before court the court have power to close the case.

If you are not ready for the terms of settlement, do not agree to it, let she keep prosecuting the case,because it is their side which wants to close the case, hence do not budge to the pressure of terms of settlement, instead ask her to withdraw the case and agree to settle whatever you offer.
